President Donald Trump’s nominee to be U.S. ambassador to Russia said on Wednesday he had known Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was involved in a campaign against then-Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch that helped lead to her dismissal.
