Trey Mancini, the AL Comeback Player of the Year in 2021 for his return from colon cancer who then helped Houston win the 2022 World Series, announced his retirement Tuesday after his latest comeback lasted five games with the Los Angeles Angels. “Thank you, baseball,” Mancini wrote on lnstagram. Mancini, 34, agreed to a minor league contract with the Angels in February, a deal that included an invitation to major league spring training.
