Abdullah Shafique grabbed his chance in Pakistan’s playing XI for the second Test against the West Indies in Port of Spain, scoring an unbeaten 160 in the first innings to help his team take control of the match. Shafique, who replaced Shan Masood in the side, came in at No. 3 and remained unbeaten after facing 323 balls. Shafique became only the fifth Pakistan batter to score 150 or more in a Test innings in the West Indies, and the first to do so in 49 years.
