UConn men throttled by St. John’s 72–52 in Big East Tournament championship game loss

Under the bright lights at Madison Square Garden, the No. 13 St. John’s Red Storm delivered a vicious knockout blow to the No. 6 UConn Huskies in the Big East Tournament final on Saturday. St. John’s earned a 72–52 win in a game it led from the opening seconds through the final buzzer. While UConn inched within as close as seven points early in the second half, the game was never in question.
